Our Process

At Special Investigations Unlimited, we follow a thorough sequence of steps to achieve the results that you are looking for.

Step 1

After being contacted by the client, a detailed discussion concerning the requested investigation and any special instructions and/or information. SIU will provide recommendation(s) for handling. Communications with our clients is one of the core values of our company.

Step 2

File setup to include Research of Social Media, Background, Criminal and Civil Records, etc. Assignments are entered in the Case File System (CFS) and assigned to an Investigator. Files entered into the CFS are maintained and any and all evidence obtained is stored and available for retrieval at any date during the Investigation and after the case is closed.

Step 3

Investigations are scheduled and conducted by the assigned Investigator(s). Investigator will update the client telephonically as the case progresses.

Step 4

Daily updates are provided to the client via the CFS. Update will include a written description of activities, video, pictures, or other file related documentation. This allows for the client to know the current status of their Investigation. Also, an opportunity for the client to provide additional information or instructions contemporaneously. Again, communications with our clients are one of the core values of our company.

Step 5

At the completion of the Investigation, a detailed written report along with video and other file related attachments are submitted via the CFS to the client. This information can also be provided, upon the client’s instruction, to others involved in the claim. This keeps everyone on “the same page”.

Step 6

At the conclusion of the assignment, all evidence is stored and maintained in accordance with best practices and regulations concerning evidence logging, retention and secure storage. Files entered into the CFS are maintained and any and all evidence obtained is stored and available for retrieval at any date during the Investigation and after the case is closed.
